 Sports
Various sporting activities take place throughout
the year for learners in Grade 1 – 12. These include
Swimming, Cricket, Mini Cricket, Volleyball, Tennis, Athletics, Soccer, Netball,
Cross Country, Mini Netball, Mini Soccer, Gym Kids, Golf, Ballet.
We compete locally against other Christian and government schools. The
top sports men and women have the opportunity to compete at a national
level.
Cultural Activities
Part of a well-rounded education is an
opportunity to participate and grow in the appreciation of the Arts and other
cultural activities. At The King’s School Linbro Park, learners are encouraged
to take advantage of these kinds of learning opportunities. The
following cultural activities are offered: Chess, Debating, Drama,
Library, Choir.
Our choir and drama departments rehearse weekly and present two major
productions during the year. We also have a strong art programme offering art as
a subject through matric level. Our journalism department offers learners the
chance to develop and apply skills in photography, writing and design. Learners
are also given the option to participate in extra-mural chess, debating and
library skills activities.
We also strive to expose our learners to various cultural events. During the
year, a variety of concerts are held in the in the London Road Church hall, and
a variety of speakers are invited to give input during our weekly assembly
programmes.
